Apple Mac Studio and Studio Display are a match made in heaven

Would you like some fries with that?

While the Mac Mini serves as an everyday desktop computer, Apple has found a new home for its insanely powerful processor within the Mac Studio. The Mac Studio comes with either the M1 Max or the newly launched M1 Ultra. The Mac Studio is a wee-bit bigger for better ventilation when the M1 Ultra is down to cause some ruckus.

It has up to 90% faster CPU performance than Mac Pro with a 16-core Intel Xeon processor. Yikes. Apple says it can playback 18 streams of 8K ProRes 422 video in Final Cut Pro and has tons of ports at the back. It has four Thunderbolt 4 ports at the back along with a 10Gb Ethernet port, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI port and a pro audio jack for high-impedance headphones or external amplified speakers. There’s Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 as well. Upfront you get an SD card slot and two USB Type-C ports (10Gb/s USB 3 with M1 Max and 40Gb/s Thunderbolt 4 with M1 Ultra).

With all that steamrolled into the size of a lunch box, there’s one but important addition to complete your desktop workstation — The Apple Studio Display. A 27-inch 5K Retina screen with 600 nits of brightness and a P3 colour gamut. You also have the option of opting for the nano-texture glass which scatters light to boot any annoying glare. There’s also an A13 Bionic chip inside to process the camera quality from the 12MP ultra-wide camera and also polish any audio from the built-in speakers.

The Mac Studio starts from ₹1,89,900 while the Studio Display is a wallet-crushing ₹1,59,900. These are available to order today and will be delivered to you by March 18.
