Apple yanked the M1 processor from the MacBook and jammed it in the iPad Air

What is a computer?

Apple kept asking its audience what a computer is, and the answer keeps getting more confusing by the year. For your child, it might be a laptop for attending zoom classes during the pandemic or maybe a smartphone for playing video games. But what if you can carry around the power of the Apple M1 processor without the limitations of the MacBook laptop? Enter iPad Air with its thin and lightweight design and definitely without the over-the-top features that only Pros want.

There’s a new 12MP ultra-wide front camera with Center Stage that follows you even if you move about or when the class teacher summons your parents for a quick complaint. The 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display comes with 500nits of brightness and a P3 colour gamut. And obviously, you can use an Apple Pencil to take down notes or start doodling your creativity.

The Wi-Fi model starts at ₹54,900 and the Wi-Fi + Cellular models start at ₹68,900 for 64GB. Apple India also has a student discount which brings down the starting price to ₹50,783. You can pre-order it from March 11, and will be available from March 18.
