Ubisoft has kicked open the pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the long-awaited plunge into Feudal Japan. Set to launch globally on 20 March, the game will be available on Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Amazon Luna. PC players can get it via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, while Mac users with Apple silicon can get it through the Mac App Store.
Crafted by Ubisoft Québec, Assassin’s Creed Shadows drops players into 16th-century Japan, where they’ll follow the intertwined fates of Naoe, a skilled shinobi Assassin, and Yasuke, the legendary samurai. As war-torn Japan edges toward unification, players will cross paths with key historical figures and shape the duo’s destiny. The newly unveiled Story trailer teases a land in turmoil, with Daimyo Oda Nobunaga’s ruthless ambition steering both heroes toward a new Creed’s rise.
For those wanting more, Assassin’s Creed Shadows comes in two premium editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, the Sekiryu Dual Pack includes gear and weapons for Naoe and Yasuke, and the Sekiryu Hideout Pack contains cosmetics and Mastery Points for an early boost.
The Collector’s Edition ups the ante with all that plus a Steelbook, World Map, Naoe & Yasuke figurine, a life-sized replica of Naoe’s Katana Tsuba, a Wall Creed Scroll, a 76-page artbook, and two Sumi-e lithographs.

If you pre-order any edition of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you get free access to the Claws of Awaji expansion, arriving in 2025. Expect a brand-new open-world region, over 10 hours of fresh content, plus new skills, gear, abilities, and Naoe’s latest weapon—the Bō.
Pricing starts at €69.99 (₹6,300) for the Standard Edition on PC and Mac. The Digital Deluxe Edition is €99.99 (₹9,000) on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, or €89.99 (₹8,100) on PC and Mac. For the ultimate package, the Collector’s Edition comes at €239.99 (₹21,600) on consoles and €229.99 (₹20,700) on PC and Mac.
