Ayaneo's new handheld gaming PC, the Ayaneo 3 is officially out and claiming the title of 'the world’s first modular handheld'. The device features detachable Magic Module controllers, empowering gamers with customisation. With swappable ABXY buttons and many controller configurations, the Ayaneo 3 offers 56 layout options. The versatility extends to touchpad-enabled controllers, dedicated fighting game setups, and fully customisable button mappings, all managed through the AYASpace 3.0 software.
With Ayaneo 3, you get two display options to pick from. The OLED version brings a 7-inch screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, gets 800 nits brightness, and covers 110% of the DCI-P3 colour space. If you go LCD, you're looking at 120Hz, 500 nits, and variable refresh rate support.
Under the hood, Ayaneo 3 offers either the Ryzen 7 8840U or the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. The HX 370 packs 4 Zen 5 cores, 8 Zen 5c cores, and 16 RDNA 3.5 GPU cores. Memory starts at 16GB LPDDR5X RAM with a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, scaling up to 64GB RAM and 4TB storage if you've got deep pockets.

For sound, you get HyperSound 2.0 dual speakers. The handheld runs on Windows 11 so you can play anything from Steam, Epic, or Battle without hassle. Connectivity is solid with dual USB4 ports, an OCuLink port for external GPUs, and a microSD slot. The 49Wh battery charges via a 65W USB-C adapter. Thermal management is ensured with triple copper pipes, a large turbofan, and graphene patches for efficient cooling.
