BMW R 1300 GS launched in India for ₹20.95 lakh (ex-showroom)

Lighter, mightier, and ready to steal the show!

BMW Motorrad has introduced the R 1300 GS to the Indian market, priced at ₹20.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This model is being brought to India as a CBU (completely built-up unit). The R 1300 GS will be offered in three variants – Style Triple Black, Style GS Trophy, and 719 Tramuntana.

The BMW R 1300 GS is notably more compact and 12 kg lighter than its predecessor, the R 1250 GS, thanks to new sheet metal and a lighter engine. The bike also has a larger 1300cc boxer twin engine, delivering 145 hp and 149 Nm of peak torque. Equipped with a bi-directional quick shifter, BMW says the bike accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 225 kmph.

All BMW R 1300 GS bikes sold in India will come standard with cross-spoked tubeless wheels. Additionally, they will include the Comfort and Dynamic packages, featuring an electronic windscreen, bidirectional quick-shifter, centre stand and Pro riding modes. Furthermore, except for the base Light White variant, all models will also include the Touring package as standard. This package comprises pannier mounts, chromed exhaust header pipes, an adaptive headlight, knuckle-guard extenders, and mounting for a GPS device.

In India, the Triple Black variant is the only model that offers the optional Adaptive Ride Height feature.

The range-topping Option 719 Tramuntana stands out with radar-assisted safety features like Active Cruise Control and Front Collision Warning. It also offers an eye-catching Green/Yellow paint option and various milled metal components.
