Casio G-Shock’s newest model sports a bold new colour that is likely to bring smiles to most space fans. Inspired by the iconic orange NASA astronaut suits, the eye-catching hue contrasts the watch's black dial, which represents the black visor on the astronaut's helmets. It also sports a thin blue line on the dial to mimic those familiar blue accents on the spacesuits.
Upon seeing this incredibly orange watch you might be inclined to think it's a political statement. But no, it's not political, it’s patriotic (If you owe your allegiance to the USA that is). The watch's band loop adorns the American flag while the back of its casing highlights an engraving of an astronaut. The packaging itself is very on-theme, with the timepiece coming in a tin can and box that features elements of those NASA "pumpkin suits”.
This third iteration of the NASA-branded G-Shock model follows the all-white and black-and-white watch that sported the red NASA logo known as "the worm”. This watch will outprice its predecessors at $170 (₹13,500 approx) and will only be available on Casio's website for a limited time period.
