CES 2022: Dell XPS 13 is designed to look minimalistic and elegant

It’s modern art

Dell XPS laptops are some of the best Windows laptops out there and this year the folks at Dell HQ handed the reins to design nerds to reiterate what a thin and light laptop should look like.

Quite evidently taking inspiration from modern art and minimalistic design, the Dell XPS 13 features a zero-lattice keyboard which is fancy for ‘it has wide keycaps’ and the keyboard runs from edge-to-edge of the laptop. The top row has a spanking new capacitive touch feature that lets you switch between media and function keys.

It seems like the laptop has taken inspiration from Apple’s mistakes and made them better and fancier. The touchpad is also a seamless glass touchpad with a haptic response. Much like the MacBook but without the touchpad rectangular cutout. No need for extra lines!

It also features an OLED display with up to 4K depending on your pockets and if you’re missing the top firing speakers from the last generation, worry not — those are hiding under the keyboard!
