Growing up, most car fans would have had a Nissan Z poster on their walls, and the latest iteration of the sports car too will make you drool. But for those of us who can’t afford a Nissan Z, here’s the next best thing. Watchmaker Citizen has unveiled a limited edition Nissan Z watch.
This Nissan Z-themed watch is meant to give you a little taste of the real sports car, and there are two models to choose from – AT8185-89E and AT8185-97E.
The former sports Nissan Z’s Ikazuchi yellow paint as accents, contrasted by a black case, hands, and crown. The dial features a dotted pattern that mimics the seat design of the Nissan Z Proto Spec Edition.
The second model features accents in Seiran Blue colour, and a matte black centre dial. Both models sport a red coloured seconds hand that mimics the redline on a tachometer.
The watch is powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive Atomic Timekeeping tech, which self-adjusts the time and dates according to the timezone. It does that by receiving local time signals, and works in Japan, USA, China, and Europe.
Citizen has revealed that only 1,700 Nissan Z watches will be made, and they are already up for pre-orders. Needless to say, these timepieces aren’t cheap, and carry a price tag of $2,495 (approx ₹1,85,700).
