Dell’s Concept Luna 2022 lets you disassemble a laptop without screwdrivers

With intensified attention to sustainability!

Exactly a year ago, Dell apprised the world about Concept Luna, a highly recyclable laptop where all individual components of the device could be taken apart, reused or recycled. The aim was to reduce e-waste, adhere to sustainability standards and of course support the right-to-repair advocates.

Now, a year later, Dell upgraded the modular design of Concept Luna by eliminating the need for adhesives and cables and minimizing the use of screws. Thus making it simpler and faster to repair or dismantle a system.

The brand claims with the evolved Concept Luna design, it would only take a few minutes to disassemble a laptop as opposed to more than an hour required to dismantle it at present. This could further simplify and accelerate repair and disassembly processes.

It also makes the process of replacing individual parts easier and more accessible. Imagine you could just replace the faulty part of your PC and extend its lifespan just like we do with cars and bikes. It's sustainable and can also cut down the proliferation of e-waste.
