DJI, a company better known for its high-flying drones, has come out with a new product that will be closer to our hearts – literally speaking. Enter the new DJI Mic, a small wireless clip-on mic set for the budding vloggers and podcasters.
It may be closer to the size of a pair of truly wireless earphones, but it boasts of some serious voice recording chops. The set includes two minuscule mics and a receiver, which neatly vanish into a pocket-sized charging case when not being used.
DJI says that the set is designed to deliver “crystal-clear audio at long distances”, with a range of up to 250 metres. It promises to capture audio at 24-bit, 48KHz.
In terms of battery, you’re looking at up to 5.5 hours or usage from the mics and receiver, which can be extended up to 15 hours using the case’s built-in battery.
There’s support for the 3.5mm audio jack, USB-C and Lightning port, and the set works with smartphones, cameras, action cams and more. The DJI Mic set has gone on sale with a $329 (approx ₹24,800) price tag.
