If you’ve ever wondered when the robots are finally going to come to our aid with those annoying household chores, you may not have to wait much longer. Dyson, known for its vacuums and air purifiers is now planning on finding its way into your home another way, with a department it’s kept secret thus far…robots.
These robots are certainly not something out of the world of Transformers or I,Robot, and definitely will not be taking over the world. Dyson showed off its robotic advancements at the International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Philadelphia. Despite being rather secretive about the details, the company revealed three early prototypes.
These prototypes consist of one robot capable of placing dishes into a drying rack, another which can pick up a (presumably dropped) teddy bear, and the third, very on brand for Dyson, can vacuum crumbs off a sofa. And this is just the beginning of what could potentially be in store for us in the future.
Although we have no idea when we will be meeting these robots (it’s likely to be quite a few years off), it’s still pretty exciting to see what the future could hold.
