The buzz around Apple’s iPhone SE lineup has hit a new high, thanks to fresh leaks suggesting that Apple might not only be preparing to launch the iPhone SE 4 but could also be adding an iPhone SE 4 Plus to the mix.
The scoop comes from Japanese tech blog Macotakara, which managed to get its hands on a 3D-printed mockup, believed to be the iPhone SE 4, revealing what could be the next big thing in Apple’s budget lineup. They also mention a larger dummy unit, possibly hinting at an "iPhone SE 4 Plus" with a 6.7-inch display, similar to the iPhone 14 Plus.
Leaked images of the alleged iPhone SE 4 dummy units show off a design similar to the iPhone 14. If true, it means the SE 4 might finally ditch its dated look and embrace a more modern design, complete with flat edges, a smaller notch for Face ID, and a single rear camera. According to Macotakara, the iPhone SE 4 closely mirrors the iPhone 14 in both design and size. The mockup images indicate that the SE 4 will feature a 6.1-inch display, just like the iPhone 14.
It’s also expected to include a TrueDepth front camera in the same location and size, hinting that Face ID might finally be introduced to the SE series. Additionally, the mockup suggests dimensions of 146.7 mm in height, 71.5 mm in width, and a thickness of 7.80 mm—exactly matching the iPhone 14’s measurements. The images also hint at the possibility of including a USB-C port, replacing the familiar Lightning connector.
It’s important to note, however, that these details are based on leaks from dummy units and not official confirmation from Apple. While the iPhone 14-inspired design seems plausible, the existence of a Plus-size model remains unverified.
