Garmin seems to be incorporating some design cues from most budget watches these days, despite its not-so-budget price tags. But hey, if Apple can do it, why not? The Garmin Venu Sq2 Series incorporates a stylish rectangular design with some key fitness features you’d expect from the brand.
Sporting a 1.4in AMOLED touchscreen display with a lightweight aluminium bezel, the smartwatch packs on built-in GPS tracking as well as an 11-day battery life. The Venu Sq 2 Series offers two models – the regular and Music Edition. The latter allows you to store up to 500 songs right on the watch, including playlists from Amazon Music and Spotify
Where the watches shine are the health tracking features. With 24/7 heart rate tracking and alerts for abnormal activity, courtesy of the Heart Rate Gen 4 sensor. The watch tracks everything from energy levels through the day (Body battery) to menstrual cycles. You are even provided with sleep and stress monitoring features. All this is clearly displayed on the watch and you can also run a 2-minute session to log key metrics like heart rate, heart rate variability, Pulse Ox, respiration and stress delivered on the watch itself or on the Garmin Connect app.
For fitness, you get over 25 preloaded GPS and indoor sports. The watch is compatible with both Android & iOS smartphones and delivers smart notifications right to your wrist. The watches have 5ATM water-resistance ratings and are available in an array of colours with several options for watch faces.
The Venu Sq 2 will be available in Cool Mind, Shadow Grey and White colour variants, priced at ₹27,990, while the Venu Sq 2 Music Edition will be available in Black, French Grey and Ivory colour variants and is priced at ₹33,490.
