Garmin Vivomove Trend is the brand’s first watch to support wireless charging

Make use of Qi-certified charging pads

Garmin recently launched the latest pointer smartwatch in their Vivomove line: the Vivomove Trend. The watch mashes together the face of an analogue timepiece with the smarts of a fitness tracker. And, it is the brand’s first wearable to support wireless charging (after all it was high time to get rid of the clip-style pin chargers).

Another interesting feature of the Vivomove Trend is the hidden touchscreen display, you can just tap or swipe to reveal the screen.  So the full-dial display appears only when you need it. Other features include Connected GPS, meaning you can connect a compatible smartphone’s GPS with your watch. Then, it has a Fitness Age feature that uses your chronological age, your weekly activity, resting heart rate and BMI or body fat percentage to estimate if your body is younger or older than you are. Plus, you can also get tips to lower your fitness age.

As per the brand, it has a battery life that lasts up to five days in smartwatch mode plus up to one additional day as an analogue-only timepiece. Fifteen minutes of charging adds up to one day of battery life in smartwatch mode.

The Vivomove Trend features a stainless steel bezel, domed glass and a silicone band. The  watch case measures just 40 mm and is compatible with industry-standard 20 mm quick-release bands.
