Google has finally introduced the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and it’s officially on the scene waiting to get inside your pocket! We’re finally getting the Pixel Fold in India and this time it’s stacked with a lot of AI goodies. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s external screen is a 6.3-inch Actua display, offering a 1080x2424 resolution with OLED tech and a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, all wrapped in a 20:9 aspect ratio. When you unfold it, you'll reveal the 8-inch Super Actua Flex display with a 2076x2152 resolution and LTPO technology, hitting up to 1600 nits of peak brightness. Both screens have a variable refresh rate that can go up to 120Hz.
The hinge is crafted from multi-alloy steel and covered with aerospace-grade aluminium alloy for durability. Inside, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is driven by the Google Tensor G4 chip, paired with the Titan M2 security coprocessor for top-notch hardware protection. Plus, it comes with Google VPN at no additional charge. The device offers 16GB of RAM and lets you pick between 256GB or 512GB of storage. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold also promises seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates.
On the back, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold sports what looks like a versatile camera array – a 48 MP wide lens, a 10.5 MP ultrawide lens with Macro Focus, and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens that offers 5x optical zoom and up to 20x Super Res Zoom. For selfies and video calls, both the front and internal cameras are 10 MP with an 87° field of view. The camera system supports 4K video recording, and Night Sight, and comes with handy editing features like Magic Eraser and Best Take.
It has a 4650mAh battery and supports fast charging via Google’s 45W USB-C Charger and is Qi-certified for wireless charging. Durability is ensured with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy frame, along with an IPX8 water resistance rating. Priced at ₹1,72,999, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will hit the shelves in early September.
