Thanks to the many leaks, Google’s round watch is not surprising but Google took the cover off its Pixel Watch officially. Plus we also have other importante información now – the specs and the software.
The Pixel Watch comes in a single size of 41mm and sports a 1.6in AMOLED display with a 320PPI and up to 1000nits of brightness. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 3D and has always-on display (AoD) functionality. It comes with WatchOS 3.5 and Exynos 9110 along with 2GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage with two variants — the LTE and Wi-Fi.
The Watch is packed with a heart rate sensor (a de facto for any smartwatch). It has sleep monitoring, ECG tracking, fall detection and everything you’d expect from a smartwatch these days. As far as tracking is concerned, the recent Fitbit takeover from Google means we’ll be seeing Fitbit’s excellent tracking chops included here as well. You also get 6 months of Fitbit Premium subscription with the Pixel Watch.
The basics have also been covered with a curved round display glass, a rotating crown and a multifunction button above it. However, Google is going with a proprietary quick-release fastener to switch out the bands. You can pick from four colour variants but we will know soon which colour variants will be available in India. Oh and a 294 mAh battery should last you a good full day, right? Indian pricing and availability is not available at the time of writing so watch out for this space when we update it. As for the US pricing, the Wi-Fi variant starts at $350 and the LTE is going for $400.
