After years of teasing their users, Google has finally announced the launch of the Pixel Watch, with a sleek circular display with minimal bezels and curved glass protection creating a domed design. The watch has a stainless steel build and a tactile crown, not too different from the Apple Watch digital crown. You can choose your own changeable wristbands that can be attached seamlessly.
This wearable will run on an enhanced Wear OS UI, unique to the Google user experience, and claims to have more advanced, fluid navigation and smart notifications. The watch has been designed to be tappable, voice-enabled and glanceable making it convenient and as non-intrusive as possible to your daily life. The Google Pixel Watch is also equipped with Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Wallet to deliver an improved experience.
In case you have a tendency of losing things, the Find My Device app users can locate their misplaced Pixel phone, earbuds, or any other supported devices on a map available on their wrist. For all you lazy creatures out there, the watch can also be used as a remote for compatible smart home devices using the Home app for Wear OS enabling you to very simply turn lights on or off from your wrist or adjust your thermostat. Like most smartwatches today, Pixel Watch will offer continuous heart rate and sleep tracking.
Google hasn’t revealed the price of the Pixel Watch as of now, adding to the suspense, but has announced that it will be available for sale in the US by the end of this year.
