iOS 15.5, iPadOS 15.5 roll out: Here’s everything that’s new

Last big announcement ahead of WWDC 20222

We are weeks away from WWDC 2022, where Apple is expected to give us a glimpse at its next-gen OS updates. But while all eyes are on iOS 16, Apple has today released iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 for iPhones and iPads.

The updates are not too drastic, but you may notice changes to the Wallet app, which now enables Apple Cash customers to send and request money from their Apple Cash card.

There’s now a new setting that lets users limit the number of Podcasts episodes stored on their devices. When the limit is crossed, the older episodes are automatically deleted. The update also fixes an issue where home automations used to not be triggered by people arriving or leaving.

Furthermore, there are 25 new security fixes, which should help in system stability. Once the OTA update is ready, users should receive a notification. Alternatively, they can head over to Settings -> General -> Software Update to start the process of updating your devices.
