For art enthusiasts who want to add to their collection with famous artwork built with their own hands, Lego recreated Vincent Van Gogh’s famous ‘The Starry Night’.
The 3D set was designed by a 25-year-old Hong Kong-based Lego fan and PhD student Truman Cheng. The design was considered for development after securing over 10,000 votes from the community. Truman’s design has been considered a masterpiece in itself displaying how many different LEGO elements and techniques can be used to replicate this Van Gogh painting.
Lego Group has also partnered with the MoMA Museum in New York to host a competition that encourages fans to create their own mini builds inspired by the night sky. The winning design will be displayed at the museum this summer.
Lego’s ‘The Starry Night’ set will be available on June 1 via the Lego website, MoMa website, and MoMA Design Store in New York City. It is priced at $170 (approx ₹13,200).
