LG PuriCare wearable air purifier is the big daddy of face masks

A smart way to beat the coronavirus

While LG Electronics’ recent press event was dedicated to smart home appliances, the brand had one last announcement that was far more personal. In keeping with the current times, the brand launched a wearable air purifier.
LG’s PuriCare wearable air purifier looks like a normal mask, and is not as crazy to look at as say the Dyson Zone. It is a tad oversized when compared to normal masks, but at least you won’t look like a Batman villain while wearing it.
Behind the mask are a set of HEPA filters that purify the air you breathe, and helping in that is the dual-fan design. A medical-grade silicone face guard protects you from the heavy-ish mask, and this can be swapped.
Built-in mic and speaker enable you to be heard clearly without having to remove the mask. The IPX4-rated air purifier is powered by a built-in battery, which the company says will last up to eight hours in low mode. The mask can also connect to the companion app using Bluetooth, which lets users keep a track of their usage, breathing patterns, and more.
The LG PuriCare wearable air purifier is available in creamy white and ocean black colours, and is priced at ₹20,990.
