Mahindra’s electric SUVs flex style— futuristic flair and zippy specs!

The cars look quite futuristic. The XUV 9e stands out with its upright bonnet, illuminated Infinity logo, and connected LED DRLs merging into vertically stacked projector headlights. Its blanked-off grille, black lower bumper with LED fog lamps, and sloping roofline lend a chic touch, while flush door handles and dual-tone aerodynamic alloys add modernity. At the rear, an inverted U-shaped LED tail light and chrome-accented bumper complete the look.

The BE 6e takes a sharper, more angular approach, featuring a creased bonnet and illuminated BE logo. C-shaped LED DRLs frame horizontally stacked projector headlights, while a silver skid plate accents the black lower bumper. The design is bold, with pronounced wheel arches, black accents on ORVMs and pillars, and integrated rear door handles on the C-pillar. The rear ditches a light bar but mirrors the front’s C-shaped lighting, paired with an aggressive bumper and illuminated logo for a striking finish.
Inside, the BE 6e features a twin-screen setup paired with a two-spoke steering wheel, while the XUV 9e ups the ante with a triple-screen layout. Both models are equipped with ADAS Level 2+ capabilities, powered by five radars and a vision system, alongside a Secure 360 safety suite featuring five cameras. AutoPark offers over 200 parking options.
The XUV 9e takes the in-cabin experience further with the Mahindra Sonic Studio Experience, featuring a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system, a 15-channel amplifier, and Dolby Atmos for immersive sound. Safety is paramount, with seven airbags and the potential to achieve a five-star safety rating, as claimed by Mahindra.

At the heart of both SUVs is the Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture (MAIA), which integrates advanced drive assist, connected car tech, cyber security, HD streaming, and in-cab experiences like dynamic lighting and monitoring.
Both the cars feature a 3-in-1 powertrain combining motor, inverter, and transmission, delivering up to 210kW of power. The BE 6e, per the brand, sprints 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds, slightly edging out the XUV 9e at 6.8 seconds. Both SUVs offer three drive modes: Range, Everyday, and Race.
Battery options include 59kWh and 79kWh packs, with ARAI-certified ranges of 682km for the BE 6e and 656km for the XUV 9e (79kWh). A 175kW DC fast charger enables a 20-80% charge in 20 minutes, as per Mahindra.
