MapmyIndia’s Mappls Gadgets are for safer rides and entertainment

If you're lost, just remember: the GPS is always right...

MapmyIndia has been showing us the right way with its digital and geospatial maps for quite some time. Now the company has come up with a new line of Mappls Gadgets for cars and two-wheelers. It includes advanced Vehicle GPS trackers, Dash Cameras, In-Dash Navitainment Systems & Smart Helmet Kits.

Advanced GPS Vehicle Trackers

Starting with the Advanced GPS Vehicle Trackers, the tracking system, as the name suggests, allows you to track vehicles and assets. When paired with the free Mappls Super App, the tracker offers the real-time location of assets or vehicles, geofencing alerts, overspeeding and undue stoppage alarms, daily distance travelled and trip replay, ignition on/off alerts along with driving behaviour. Mappls’ Gadgets Vehicle Trackers could be deep-installed: fixed into one vehicle or even plug-and-play: used in multiple vehicles (one at a time obviously). This product comes at a starting price of ₹4490.

Mappls Dash Cameras

The Mappls Dash Cameras or Mappls CarEye as the company calls it, is a comprehensive dash camera with personalized safety, tracking, telematics and surveillance system. It offers real-time video visibility and insight into vehicle performance and challenging road situations. With it, you can watch live video-streaming of both the front view and cabin view of the car anytime and from anywhere in the world via the Mappls Super App. CarEye also analyses driver’s behaviour and can detect harsh acceleration, braking, cornering, and overspeeding. The Mappls CarEye is priced at ₹23,990.

Mappls In-Dash Navitainment Systems

Much about safety has been covered so Mappls has moved on to entertainment with their Navitainment Systems. The Android-based audio, video, offline, and online navigation system is an integrated and connected entertainment and navigation system (ICENAV Systems). It is integrated into the dashboard and offers features such as controls on the steering wheel, video output capability to replicate head unit media stream on rear seat monitors, and rear view AHD camera support for a better driving experience. This device is also equipped with Android-based OS and is compatible with both CarPlay and Android Auto. The ICENAV also offers navigation through NaviMaps - offline navigation with live traffic updates, and Mappls App - which offers house-level maps, 3D and RealView mapping, Junction View, speed camera and traffic alerts, speed breaker and pothole alerts, and more. It has 64 GB of internal memory and is compatible with CarPlay and Android Auto with a built-in Play Store and WiFi Hotspot. The Navitainment System comes in two variants - ICENAV 7464 and ICENAV 7216. Both the variants come in two sizes: 9in and 10in at a price of ₹37,990 and ₹38,990  respectively.

Mappls Smart Helmet Kits (Navisor & Navaudio)

What is said to be the first-of-its-kind, the Mappls Smart Helmet Kit  – Navisor and Navaudio transform the helmets into a smart helmet with hands-free visual LED cues and audio navigation thus eliminating the need of looking at the screen. Navisor is a helmet mount that utilises Augmented Reality to provide visual navigation cues (based on Mappls App directions) to 2-wheeler riders. Developed as an alternative to phone mounts, Navisor  also includes features like Crash Detection and SOS sensor, auto-brightness and all-weather visibility, Bluetooth 5.0 technology and a battery life of up to 12 hours. The combo of the two products is priced at ₹5,490.
