Maserati seems to aim at debunking the myth that electric boats are slow and cumbersome with its latest collaboration with Vita Power. The result of which is the Tridente, a 10.5m zero-emission powerboat capable of carrying ten passengers. It blends speed with buoyancy, proving that electric vessels can be both swift and agile on the water.
The powerboat is tailored for day cruising on lakes and coastal waters, with a 600HP peak power and a 252 kWh battery capacity. It cruises at 25 knots with a top speed of 40 knots, and recharges in less than an hour, as per Maserati. The Tridente accommodates up to 10 individuals, including the driver, in a cockpit that can be set up for dining or optimised for speed. For leisure, passengers can unwind on the sundeck or enjoy a bathing area equipped with a shower and swimming ladder.
Crafted from carbon fibre to exacting standards, the dayboat showcases meticulous craftsmanship by Hodgdon Yachts, a renowned US boat builder based in Maine with a distinguished legacy spanning over two centuries. Specialising in superyacht tenders, Hodgdon Yachts is said to bring expertise to every detail of the Tridente.
