Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard will bring more games to Xbox Game Pass

It’s Microsoft’s world, we just live in it

Rejoice or press F, depending on which side of the fence you’re on right now. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass member then it’s definitely a great day for you. Halo, Doom and now Call of Duty, three of the top FPS franchises in the world are under Microsoft’s belt, and all that is dropping for a minuscule subscription fee on Xbox Game Pass.

The story starts with Microsoft stating that it will acquire Activision Blizzard for $95.00 per share, in an all-cash transaction valued at $68.7 billion, inclusive of Activision Blizzard’s net cash. The plan is to accelerate the gaming business for Microsoft in PC, console, mobile, cloud and to some extent, metaverse.

Yes, Microsoft said that it will add Activision Blizzard games to the Xbox Game Pass library, and as many as possible. So hopefully you might not have to pay a ransom amount for Call of Duty! Obviously, other top franchises like Diablo, Starcraft, World of Warcraft and Overwatch will also be included. Netflix for games? Yea, that’s Xbox Game Pass for sure.
