Moto X30 Pro launched with a 200MP camera

The next big thing

Big announcements from Motorola are on the way with chief among them being the foldable flagship – Moto Razr 2022. But it doesn't stop there. The brand has released another eye-catching device, dubbed the Moto X30 Pro. It will be the first smartphone to carry Samsung’s HP1 200MP sensor which was launched last year.

Sporting 6.7in pOLED display that has a Full HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, this smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 50W, as well as 125W fast charging support. This enables the device to charge up to 50% in just seven minutes and a 100% charge in 19 minutes.

Now, onto the really interesting stuff. The phone comes with a triple camera setup on the rear which includes the 1/1.22 inch Samsung ISOCELL HP1 200MP camera as the primary sensor. This camera also comes with  Samsung’s ChameleonCell pixel-binning technology, a pixel-binning technology that uses a two-by-two, four-by-four, or full pixel layout depending on the environment.

Additionally, the X30 Pro brings a full RAW domain primary colour vision and native support for all its camera sensors.  The sensor is even capable of shooting videos at 8K resolution at 30fps with minimal loss of field in view. In addition to the star of the show, the X30 Pro also packs in a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 12MP telephoto shooter. If that isn’t impressive enough for you, the front houses a 60MP selfie camera (so now those ugly pictures are no longer the camera’s fault).

This phone has the potential to be one of the top flagships available today, but unfortunately, the X30 Pro is only headed China’s way thus far. Prices start at ¥3,699 (approx ₹44,000) and go  up to ¥4,499 (approx ₹53,000) for the range-topping 12GB/512GB. But so far, it looks like we are just going to have to hope and pray that this model heads our way.
