MWC 2023: Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro brings a shiny Space Capsule you must alight

All aboard!

If you thought Xiaomi would just drop a couple of phones and call it a night, you were wrong. They have brought a whole array of devices such as their newest smartwatch, an e-bike and so on. Among this long lineup is the new TWS buds dubbed the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro. The device is built using Sony's LDAC technology to allow for data transfer rates of up to 990kbps and bit depths of up to 32-bit, along with Hi-Res Audio Wireless support.

All this glitter truly catches the eye. The case of these buds is a re-imagined design with an interesting, unusually styled case Xiaomi aka the Space Capsule. Strange as it seems, the top opens to reveal the earbuds ready for you to pluck out frontwards. While it's not as radical as the new animated forms of our beloved childhood characters, it’s a subtle change that adds to the overall appeal.

But enough about looks, let’s get down to the meat of the matter. The device packs active noise cancellation features, which may effectively shield users from undesirable sounds up to 48 dB. The built-in Dimensional Audio on the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro tracks users' head motions and places each audio in a 3D space.

The battery life of the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro is pretty promising, providing up to 9 hours of continuous listening on a single charge and up to an amazing 38 hours when using a charging case. The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro earbuds also support wireless charging, and their built-in dual-device connectivity function makes it possible for users to move between connected devices with ease.

Best of all, to avoid those annoying adjustments, the earbuds stay in place thanks to the soft LSR ear tips, which are available in three sizes for a comfortable fit. For a really premium appearance, the new earbuds also come in two colour choices: Star Gold and Space Black.

You can also use the dedicated Xiaomi Earbuds app for the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro to fiddle and customise your settings such as ANC modes, transparency modes, Built-in Dimensional audio, and dual-device connectivity.
