There’s a lot of buzz around OnePlus products but they usually follow the set pattern of launching in China first and then seeping into our market. By the time we get our hands on the shiny new devices, the sheen is almost rubbed away. However, this is the first time in many years OnePlus is launching a product directly in our homeland and it’s a monitor of all things, who would’ve thought?
There are two monitors in the range — the X 27 and the E 24. Let’s start with the bigger one. The OnePlus Monitor X 27 is supercharged for gaming. Sitting at 27in wide and with bezels small enough to be a runway for ants, there’s no doubt the OnePlus Monitor X 27 looks clean. Even the backside is flat with the matte finish stand sitting flat on the desk like a metal plate. It has an IPS panel with 2560x1440 (QHD) resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium. This is the sweet spot for PC gaming and OnePlus knows it. You also get Vesa DisplayHDR 400, 350nits of brightness and a 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Want to charge your OnePlus smartphone or gaming laptop? The monitor also has a Type-C port to deliver 65W over USB PD standard. You can even connect your OnePlus 10T and game directly on the thing. You can even have two sources displayed together or have a PiP split-screen mode as well. The OnePlus X 27 is available for ₹27,999 in India.
