OnePlus will launch the latest version of its software and UI package for its smartphones - OxygenOS 15 - on October 24. The latest version of the software suite is based on Android 15, and is notably among the early releases based on the newest version of Android. OxygenOS 15 is expected to jump onto the artificial intelligence bandwagon, and introduce new AI features which will come to compatible OnePlus smartphones including the OnePlus 13, which is rumoured to be launching sooner than expected. The launch event for OxygenOS 15 will be online and streamed via OnePlus' social channels.
With a tagline of 'Speed meets AI', OxygenOS 15 is expected to promise performance improvements alongside AI features and implementations. Much like iOS 18 which has gone big on artificial intelligence (interestingly called Apple Intelligence), OxygenOS 15 will pitch its AI offerings as made to enhance productivity and creativity.
There's also talk of an improvement in Android OS animations by OxygenOS 15, while sticking to the established OnePlus visual elements. Not much more is known for now, but October 24 isn't too far away. Apart from the expected OnePlus 13, it's likely that a handful of older OnePlus devices - starting with the OnePlus 12 - will also get the expected update to OxygenOS 15 in the coming weeks.
