Oppo F21 Pro launched with a faux leather back

Orange is the new back

Oppo has launched a new mid-range smartphone with a design that’s going to get people talking. The Oppo F21 Pro comes in 4G and 5G models, and sports a faux-leather texture with an interesting Sunset Orange colourway.
The texture is achieved using what Oppo calls a ‘Fibreglass-Leather’ processing technique, and there’s no denying that this design and colour choice stands out. The device also features flat edges with a soft gold finish that contrasts well with the orange back.
As for specs, the Oppo F21 Pro flaunts a 6.43in FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. The 5G variant is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC, while the 4G variant has a Snapdragon 680 under the hood. Both variants are backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
For photography, there are three cameras at the back – 64MP primary lens, 2MP portrait lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Up front, is a 32MP selfie camera with the same sensor as the Oppo Reno 7 Pro series.
On the software front, the devices run Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1, and for security, there’s an in-display fingerprint sensor. Prices for the Oppo F21 Pro 4G variant start from ₹22,999, while prices for the 5G variant start from ₹26,999.
