Oppo has taken the wraps off its 2022 flagship phone, and it is big on design, specs, and cameras. The last bit is the highlight as Oppo has partnered with Hasselblad for its camera expertise, and there’s also a custom MariSilicon chip under the hood for image processing.
Speaking of photographic chops, the Find X5 Pro has dual 50MP Sony IMX766 sensors at the back, and a 13MP telephoto sensor with 5X hybrid zoom and 20X digital zoom. Up front is a 32MP selfie camera with Sony IM709 sensor.
Hasselblad brings in ‘Natural Colour’ calibration to the cameras, along with a range of master filters. The custom chip helps in advanced image processing, AI noise reduction, and a new 4K Ultra Night Video, which has less noise and better colours than typical night video.
The Find X5 phones are beautifully designed as well with ceramic at the back, and the front protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. IP68 certification makes the device water and dust resistant.
The Pro variant comes with a 6.7in AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and 5G support. It runs Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro is priced at €1,300 (approx ₹1,09,800), and is up for pre-orders in certain regions. There’s no word on an India launch yet. Oppo has also announced a slightly toned down Oppo Find X5, which costs €1,000 (approx ₹84,500), and the Oppo Find X5 Lite priced at €480 (approx ₹40,550).
