The Xiaomi Pad 5 recently proved that premium tablets with top-notch productivity chops don’t need to cost a bomb. Sticking with that formula is a tab from Oppo. Enter the Oppo Pad Air.
It features a standard tablet design, meaning you won’t be able to differentiate it from rival products – at least from the front. At the back is a dual-tone design with part shiny and part wavy textures. Portability is at the core of the design with a thickness of just 6.94mm, and weighing less than 500 grams.
Feature-wise you get a 10.36in 2K display with 60Hz refresh rate and 360 nits of typical brightness. Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 680 chip along with Adreno 610 GPU, up to 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB storage.
Other features include an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, quad-speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and a 7,100mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
On the software side, it runs Android 12-based ColorOS 12 optimised for tablets. Boosting productivity on this tablet are a couple of external accessories. These include the Oppo Pencil (¥299 / approx ₹3,400, and the Oppo Smart magnetic keyboard (¥349 / ₹4,000).
Prices start from ¥1,299 (approx ₹15,100), and go up to ¥1,699 (approx ₹19,800). The tablet has launched in China, with no word yet on an India launch yet.
