Oppo’s latest F27 Pro+ is IP69-rated

Ready to conquer drops, scratches, high pressure, and extreme temperatures?

Oppo has unveiled what they're dubbing India's first IP69-rated smartphone, the F27 Pro+. The brand says this smartphone sports an indestructible 360-degree Armour Body, so it's built to withstand the daily grind, promising to protect against drops and scratches with gusto.

The IP69 rating doesn't just make it waterproof, it also means the smartphone is capable of shrugging off high-pressure and extreme-temperature environments. Oppo says the F27 Pro+ is crafted with materials like sponges for enhanced drop resistance and high thermal conductivity aluminium alloy to protect the mainboard. With additional IP66 and IP68 ratings, this phone is prepared for whatever life throws its way, including surviving a 30-minute dip in water. To sweeten the deal, Oppo is also throwing in six months of complimentary insurance, covering accidental damage and liquid mishaps.

The phone weighs 177g and has a premium vegan leather back panel featuring a cosmos ring-inspired camera island. On the front, the phone sports a 6.7-inch 3D curved display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, offering a 93% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it packs the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, paired with 8 GB of RAM and a choice of 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

For photography, the F27 Pro+ has a 64 MP primary camera, a 2 MP depth sensor, and an 8 MP selfie camera. It runs on Android 14-based ColorOS 14, with a promise of four years of software updates. Keeping everything running smoothly is a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. Oppo claims that even after four years of regular use, the phone can retain 80% of its battery capacity.

The Oppo F27 Pro+ is available in two colours – Dusk Pink and Midnight Navy – and comes in two storage variants, offering 128GB or 256GB options. It starts at a price of ₹27,999.
