Philips TAB8947 and TAB7807 are Dolby Atmos Soundbars with wireless subwoofers

Power meets minimalism

Good quality sound is a pleasure that must be experienced by everyone at least once in their lives. Although the high-quality sound isn’t exactly known for its meagre price tag, several companies are striding towards bringing quality sound at more reasonable budgets. The Philips TAB8947 3.1.2 CH and Philips TAB7807 3.1 CH models are priced at ₹35,990 and ₹28,990 respectively.

What makes these soundbars special? These soundbars come with a wireless subwoofer to cut the clutter. The higher-end Philips TAB8947 soundbar is equipped with 3.1.2 CH to offer a more multidimensional audio experience with total 660W output. This output is derived from the 8 integrated drivers and the 8in subwoofer. You can easily stream hi-res playlists from your mobile device courtesy of the Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth support. Onboard the device is the now expected, AI voice assistance, and the most impressive feature– the additional upward-firing speakers, that add height channels, producing a true 360-degree surround effect with a helping hand from Dolby Atmos.

The Philips TAB7807 3.1 CH soundbar supports Dolby Atmos and is a smidge less powerful producing 620W of output through the 6 integrated drivers. This model also features an 8in powerful subwoofers to produce higher-quality bass performance. With several EQ modes like Stadium EQ mode (perfect for the football season!), bass, treble, volume settings, etc, you can easily customise your sound quality to improve your experience. This can be done with the remote control or through the Philips Easylink technology. Both also come with HDMI eARC technology.
