Hot wheels

Pininfarina, the Italian design firm best known for styling iconic Ferrari and Alfa Romeo models, has drifted into the world of e-scooters. The KPF Argento is co-developed by Pininfarina and urban e-mobility brand Platum.
The KPF Argento is specially designed with urban dwellers in mind, and aims to offer ergonomic comfort, functionality and safety. It is built on an 83.5cm platform and features an aluminium chassis.
It sits on 20cm tyres, and has a range of up to 40km on a single charge. There are three drive modes to choose from – Eco, Normal and Sport. Eco mode has a top-speed of 6kph and is meant to be used when riding the pavement among pedestrians. In Sports mode, the e-scooter will touch speeds of up to 25kph.
The electric push scooter features built-in LED headlights and taillight, and a digital display that shows the speedometer and battery levels. The KPF Argento by Pininfarina is set to go on sale in Italy later this month with a price tag of €599 (approx ₹49,400). There’s no word yet on a global launch.
