Whoever said gaming was a waking man’s affair didn’t probably live up to this day. Wondering why? Because who could’ve predicted that there could be a time when we would have a game that you could play slumbering and sleep your way to victory? Speaking about the latest: Pokemon Sleep.
The upcoming mobile app by The Pokemon Company is designed to track your sleep patterns and use the data to affect gameplay in various ways. You just have to place your smartphone by your pillow when you go to bed to record and measure your sleep. The longer you sleep, the higher your score in the morning, and the more Pokemon you'll see. Your nights of sleep will be classified as one of three sleep styles — dozing, snoozing, or slumbering — and in the morning, Pokémon that sleep in similar ways will come to gather around Snorlax. So, say goodbye to counting sheep and hello to catching Snorlax.
Furthermore, the app is expected to work with a new device called the Pokemon Go Plus+, which is an updated version of the Pokemon Go Plus accessory. It lets you track your sleep and measure your sleep data using Bluetooth Low Energy technology. And, Pikachu's familiar voice gives out cute prompts when it's time to wake up or go to sleep.
