Modestly priced and laced with top-of-the-line features are two phrases that don’t usually concur with gadgets, but Redmi claims to challenge the statement with its first tablet, the Redmi Pad.
The 10.6in tab has a 2K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is Widevine L1 certified which means all content is streamed in the best-supported resolution across OTT platforms.
The device uses a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 chipset with up to 6GB RAM and comes with MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Also, if you are a multitasker, Redmi Pad’s Split Screen feature can be tempting for you. This feature lets users run up to three apps on the screen at the same time.
The tablet has an 8MP ultra-wide front camera specially designed for video calls. Its FocusFrame technology can automatically detect and track the subjects as soon as they join a video call. It has dual microphones with one mic dedicated for noise reduction and quad stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Furthermore, the device comes with an in-built SGS eye protection and TUV Rheinland certification to minimize eye strain. It houses an 8000mAh battery with 18W fast charging and comes in three variants starting at ₹12,499. It’s similarly specced to the Oppo Pad Air we reviewed a few weeks ago.
