Fresh off launching its flagship Galaxy S22 series, Samsung is now focusing on its mid-range Galaxy A series. At a dedicated event, the South Korean giant announced a couple of feature-packed mid-rangers – Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33.
As the name suggests, the Galaxy A53 is the more feature-rich of the two smartphones. It comes with a 6.5in FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and an octa-core Exynos 1280 chip under the hood. This is accompanied by up to 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB of expandable storage.
Other features include a quad-camera setup (64MP+12MP+5MP+5MP) at the back, 32MP selfie camera, in-display fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM card slots, 5G support, IP67 water resistance, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy A33 shares most of the features, but with certain small differences. These include a slightly smaller 6.4in 90Hz display, quad-cam setup (48MP+8MP+2MP+5MP), and a 13MP front camera.
Prices for the Samsung Galaxy A33 start from $408 (approx ₹31,000), and $449.99 (approx ₹34,160) for the Galaxy A53. Both phones will be made available in select countries starting April.
