Samsung has kicked off 2022 with the launch of a flagship device – but it’s not the one you’re thinking about. We are still a few weeks away from the unveiling of the Galaxy S22 series, and in the meantime, the South Korean giants have launched the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.
As the name suggests, this is essentially a toned down version of the Galaxy S21. Fan Editions basically retain the best bits of the flagship device, and tone down certain other features to reduce costs. This is why prices for the Galaxy S21 FE start from ₹49,999 and go up to ₹53,999. These are introductory prices, which includes a ₹5,000 cashback offer for HDFC card holders.
As far as specs are concerned, there’s a 6.4in FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, an Exynos 2100 chip under the hood, and a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support.
For photography, there’s a triple-cam setup (12MP+12MP+8MP) at the back, and a 32MP selfie camera up front. The 5G phone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating, and it runs Android 12-based OneUI 4.0.
