Samsung has launched a new premium smart TV. While that itself won’t catch your attention, it’s the panel that will. For the first time in decades, Samsung has launched an ‘OLED TV’ to take on the likes of LG and Sony.
The Samsung S95B will arrive in two screen sizes – 55in and 65in – and will be backed by Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor 4K. It’s the same tech we’ve seen on the company’s flagship QLED TVs. Additionally, it will also boast smarts like brightness booster and perceptional colour mapping that should deliver more accurate and realistic colours. Samsung seems highly confident about its new TVs and claims that it will perform “well beyond what has been available from OLED TVs to date”.
Like other Samsung tellys, the S95B series too will run the Tizen platform with all the expected smart features. Rounding off the AV experience will be surround sound with Dolby Atmos and Samsung’s Object Tracking Sound tech.
Prices for the Samsung S95B series start from $2,199 (approx ₹1,68,000) and go up to $2,999 (approx ₹2,30,000). These TVs are currently up for pre-orders, and will be available in select regions come April.
