The winter months are slowly giving way to the searing summer months, and almost on cue, Samsung India has launched a new range of air conditioners. The new WindFree range, as the name suggests, has an interesting way of cooling the room, and also boasts of connected features.
The WindFree technology essentially eliminates draft, and instead disperses cool air through 23,000 micro holes at a speed of 0.15m/s. This helps in cooling the room without bombarding you with a harsh cold draft. The tech is also said to help in saving up to 77% energy.
Smart features include Wi-Fi support that helps in connecting to Samsung’s SmartThings app. Using this app you can remotely control the AC, and pressing buttons feels like a task, you can give voice commands to Bixby, Google Assistant or Amazon’s Alexa.
The AC is also equipped with motion detect sensors, which will switch the AC to energy saver mode if it doesn't detect any movement in the room for 20 minutes. This is said to save up to 43% energy. Built-in PM 1.0 filters also claim to sterilise up to 99% bacteria in the room.
Samsung has launched a host of AC models in its WindFree range, with prices starting from ₹50,990 and going up to ₹99,990.
