SanDisk's latest portable SSD looks like the Fortnite banana

SanDisk’s latest SSD is grabbing attention with a quirky design that fans of Fortnite will instantly recognise—it looks like the iconic banana character, Peely. As part of this fruity venture, SanDisk has introduced themed editions of its USB Flash Drive and Portable SSD. 

The pocket-sized portable SSD sports a blue carry handle paired with Peely’s signature emoticon-style face. Available in various capacities up to 2TB, it’s compatible with PlayStation, Xbox, Macs, and PCs, offering read speeds of up to 800MB/s via USB 3.2 Gen 2. Fortnite enthusiasts will also score a code to unlock an exclusive in-game pickaxe. Prices start at £79 (approx. ₹8,351) for 1TB of storage.

SanDisk has also dropped a limited-edition Fortnite USB Flash Drive, and it comes with an exclusive in-game wrap to show off your wins. It sticks with a USB-A connector, good for the current-gen consoles that still lean more towards Type-A than Type-C. Read speeds hit up to 130MB/s over USB 3.2 Gen 1, and you can grab it in 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB capacities, starting at £7.99 (approx. ₹844).
