Sigma announces 28-105mm F2.8 DG DN | Art lens for mirrorless cameras

Available in Sony E-mount and L-mount

No other lens can match the versatility of the 28-105mm. Sigma has announced a premium version of this focal length in the Art line with a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8. The Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8 DG DN | Art lens promises superior optical performance combined with excellent build quality. The lens is made for full-frame mirrorless systems and is available in Sony E-mount and also in L-mount for cameras from the L-mount alliance including Panasonic, Leica and Sigma.

The Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8 DG DN | Art lens includes large-diameter elements such as FLD, SLD, and five aspherical elements in its construction. These special elements ensure better clarity and sharpness by eliminating distortions and aberrations.

The lens houses a High-response Linear Actuator (HLA), which enables quick and accurate focusing. The lens has been designed to minimise focus breathing and is equipped with two AFL buttons at right angles so that it is accessible in any orientation. The aperture ring is equipped with a de-click function for seamless and silent operation while shooting videos.

The Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8 DG DN | Art lens features a dust and splash-resistant exterior, comes with a petal-shaped lens hood and weighs just under a kilogram. The lens is compatible with Sigma’s USB Dock UD-11 for L-mount. Price is yet to be revealed.
