Snapdragon X aims to make AI-powered PCs more accessible

Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon X platform in India, setting the stage for AI-powered PCs that won’t break the bank. At the heart of the chip is a dedicated NPU with 45 TOPS of AI muscle—on par with its Snapdragon X siblings. That’s a big win for Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC experience, which leans on AI to dish out its signature tricks. 

Qualcomm says the GPU is fine-tuned for everyday multitasking, whether finessing a presentation, surfing the web, or kicking back with a binge session. Fuelled by Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU, the Snapdragon X platform offers future-proof connectivity with support for 5G and Wi-Fi 7. Audiophiles aren’t left out — Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite brings high-fidelity wireless audio. Security gets the full-stack treatment, safeguarding data from chip to cloud.

Leading the charge in India are the Asus Vivobook 16 and Zenbook A14, the first Snapdragon X-powered machines in the country. More brands, including Acer, Dell, HP, and Lenovo, are gearing up to follow suit. With prices starting at ₹65,990, Asus laptops are available for pre-orders now.
