Sonodyne's first portable speaker, Antara promises sonic punch on the go

It's priced at Rs. 14,999 and comes in two colours - white and black

India-based high-end audio specialist Sonodyne is typically known for its traditional loudspeakers and active monitors. However, its latest product, the Sonodyne Antara, is the company's first portable speaker, thanks to its built in battery and wireless connectivity through Bluetooth 5.4. Usefully, there are additional wired connectivity options also built in to the Antara speaker for purists. Priced at Rs. 14,999, the Sonodyne Antara is available to buy now through sonodyne.com.

The Sonodyne Antara features a four-driver setup with two 2.5-inch transducers and two tweeters, along with two passive radiators. It's rated for an output of up to 40W, which is impressive for a portable speaker in this price segment. The speaker has a 3350mAh battery which promises up to 12 hours of run time on a single charge through USB Type-C charging, and you can of course use the speaker plugged in when at home.

Apart from Bluetooth 5.4 wireless audio connectivity, there is also 3.5mm wired connectivity and the ability to plug in a USB drive to use the Sonodyne Antara as a media player. Usefully, the Antara is also IP65 rated for dust and water resistance, so you can use it outdoors without worrying too much.
