Sony has launched the new Linkbuds Open (WF-L910) true wireless earphones in India, priced at Rs. 19,990. The successor to the rather novel Linkbuds TWS earphones, the new Linkbuds Open feature a similar open-ear design which allows the wearer to keep their ears open to their surroundings, thanks to a physical opening which lets you hear around you easily. The new earphones are also said to be lighter and more comfortable, and also get new supports to ensure a secure fit.
Coming to the specifications, the WF-L910 earphones from Sony get 11mm ring-shaped drivers, built into the unique shape of the earpieces. Other features and specs include adative volume control for dynamic volume adjustments, and the Integrated Processor V2, which is said to enable advanced audio processing for clear and noise-free calls. The earphones have a claimed battery life of up to 22 hours, and are compatible with Sony's Sound Connect app for customisation.

Usefully, you also get fast charging on the Sony Linkbuds Open, as well as multipoint connectivity and wide area tap for easy controls. The design does, of course, mean that there is no active noise cancellation on the Sony LinkBuds Open, but the point is to ensure a comfortable fit which delivers decent sound while giving you awareness of your surroundings.
Available in two colours - black and white - the Sony Linkbuds Open go on sale on October 24, and can be purchased both online and offline at Sony Center stores, major electronics stores, and e-commerce portals such as Amazon and Flipkart.
