Sony X-Series wireless speaker range brings 3 new models

Why Live, Laugh, Love when you can Live Life Loud

Sony is out to end all sibling rivalries when it comes to portable speakers with three new models of wireless speakers – the SRS-XG300, SRS-XE300 and SRS-XE200. These speakers are designed using an X-Balanced Speaker Unit instead of the usual circular build, to pack in higher sound quality and punchier bass.

The speakers all pack in dual passive radiators. The XG300 being the largest in the trio gives you about 25 hours of playtime with LED lighting effects. The slightly more compact, XE300 offers 24-hour playtime with a 10-minute quick charge giving about 70 minutes of playtime. The smallest, XE200 has 16-hour battery life. Sony’s Battery Care feature is also available on the Music Center app to help you avoid damaging the batteries from overcharging, thus preserving their longevity.

The Live Sound Mode aboard the speakers allows you to recreate the kind of audio you’d hear watching your favourite artists live (without the screaming of the audience of course). The range comes with IP67 water and dust resistance so it can pretty much survive anything from pool parties to beach days.

For connectivity, you can use the multipoint connection with up to two devices via Bluetooth 5.2. There is also Google Fast Pair and the SBC, AAC and LDAC audio codecs support on board. For answering calls, the speakers use a feature called Echo Canceling, which promises clearer voice capture and an additional manual switch for the built-in microphone in case you quickly need to mute yourself.

The speakers are priced starting at ₹12,990 for the SRS-XE200 going up to ₹19,990 for the SRS-XE300 and ₹26,990 for the SRS-XG300.
