Swatch’s new Clear Collection mixes retro with modern

Comes with a built-in NFC chip

The rise of smartwatches have made traditional watchmakers adopt modern technologies without giving up on their philosophies. Among the best examples of this is Swatch’s new Clear Collection.
This collection pays homage to the brand’s ‘80s hey days, and it reflects in the watch’s minimalist design. As the name suggests, the highlight of this collection is the watch’s transparent body. The internals painted in gold and metallic silver are housed inside a see-through bio-sourced plastic case.
Mixing the retro with modern is a built-in NFC chip, which can be used for contactless payments. The watch is also waterproof up to a depth of 30 metres.
The Clear Collection features four models – Clearly Big Bold (47mm), Clearly Gent (34mm), Clearly New Gent (41mm), and the Clearly Skin (32mm). Prices start from $75 (approx ₹5,600), and go up to $120 (approx ₹9,000).
