The Robosen Optimus Prime robot is now available to pre-order in India through Nerd Arena

This machine is sentient and expensive

If you are a fan of the Transformers series there are chances you would jump for joy on reading this piece. Robosen Robotics in collaboration with Hasbro has brought to life an Optimus Prime collectible that does so much more than just sit on a shelf and this cool new bot is now available to pre-order in India at Nerd Arena.

This G1 Optimus Prime is (clears throat) the world’s first auto-converting, interactive, voice-enabled, programmable auto-bot hero. Optimus Prime will transform with voice commands as well as through a mobile app.

It’s 19in tall and built with premium material with over 5,000 components, there are 60 microchips to power 27 high-performance Servo motor joints that enable Optimus Prime to auto-convert and operate in both vehicle and robot mode.

There is an extensive library of voice commands which means this bot probably understands much more than some humans. There are pre-loaded actions with a range of new features that, the brand says, will come via download. Even though the price doesn’t matter for such pieces of art (and of course tech), this limited edition collectible comes starting at ₹87,999 for the 16in (Elite Version) and ₹1,08,999 for the 19in (Flagship Version). Nerd Arena says the leader of the Autobots will arrive on our shores in Jan and you will have to deposit 30% (Non-Refundable) of the value to book yours.
