The Twelve Snake is an 8-bit tribute to the classic Snake game and the Year of the Snake!

Attention retro-gaming nerds!

Christopher Ward has joined forces with Seconde/seconde for its latest retro-inspired timepiece, The Twelve Snake. It pays homage to the classic mobile game Snake and marks the Year of the Snake in the 2025 Chinese zodiac.

Built on Christopher Ward’s The Twelve, this special edition watch brings a nostalgic bite to the design. Its Venom Green dial mimics the pixelated glow of early mobile screens, featuring a 3D-textured snake sinking its fangs into the brand’s twin-flags logo.

Adding to the fun element is the 'Wheel of Good Fortune' at 7:30 which replaces the traditional date window, cycling through six insect-themed treats straight out of the game. And, in a cheeky nod to its reptilian inspiration, ‘Swiss Made’ makes way for ‘Hiss Made’ at the bottom of the dial.

The Twelve Snake sports a 40mm stainless steel case with a 12-sided bezel, blending brushed, sandblasted, and polished finishes. Under the hood, it runs on the Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, offering a 38-hour power reserve.

Flip it over, and the case back reveals a pixelated snake winding around the phrase 'CHEERS TO THE SNAKE YEAR(S)', a tribute to both the zodiac and retro gaming. You also get to choose between a steel bracelet or rubber straps in black or Venom Green for a custom fit.

The watch is available for pre-order only for a limited time window – from 29 January to 12 February 2025, perfectly timed for the Lunar New Year celebrations. The Twelve Snake is priced at $1,225 (approx. ₹1,06,679).
