This Bugatti Chiron-inspired watch has a ‘W16 engine’ inside

And costs as much as a supercar

If you’ve just bought yourself a $3 million Bugatti Chiron, then why not compliment it with an equally exclusive (read: outrageously expensive) timepiece? That’s exactly what watchmaker Jacob & Co. are offering – a one-off Bugatti Chiron Blue Sapphire Crystal watch that costs an eye-watering $1.5 million.
Like the supercar’s ostentatious design, the watch too is meant for those who don’t mind drawing attention to themselves. It sports a tonneau-shaped case made completely out of sapphire crystal, and presented in a unique blue hue. The case itself is transparent to show the incredible amount of detailing underneath.
Speaking of which, you can’t miss the miniature version of Bugatti’s W16 engine with all its 16 pistons, two superchargers, and exhausts. The watchmaker has also painstakingly added an animation, and when you press the right-most crown, the mini engine comes to life, causing the pistons and turbochargers to spin.
It’s not just the case that gets all the attention. The strap, made of rubber, too gets an 18 karat rose gold clasp.
